Recovery.gov is a website that lets you figure out where the money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is going. There are going to be a few different ways to search for information. The money is being distributed by Federal agencies, and soon you’ll be able to see where it’s going — to which states, to which congressional districts, even to which Federal contractors. As soon as we are able to, they’ll display that information visually in maps, charts, and graphics.

Dunkirk Observer: Tuition hike protest planned
The chant “1, 2, 3, 4 – We won’t pay you any more!” was heard loud and clear during a December 2008 protest on the Plattsburgh campus. Today on the SUNY Fredonia campus, you may hear something similar resonating from the Williams Center as hundreds of students are planning to protest Gov. David Paterson’s tuition tax proposal. “I’m delighted that the students are speaking out; they recognize that placing a tax on tuition is an inappropriate thing for the state to be doing,” SUNY Fredonia President Dennis Hefner said Wednesday. “For them to come together in this rally, I think, will send a clear message to Albany that this should stop and stop now.”
